Which filler do you use on the lips?
Our lip fillers of choice are typically either Juvederm Ultra XC or Juvederm Volbella XC. (Discount-eligible products may vary.) For fine lines just above the lips and parentheses lines, we may use Belotero.

What’s the difference between the various dermal fillers?
Juvederm and Belotero are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. HA has a hydrating effect, helping provide a smoother texture and easily customizable results during future visits.
Radiesse is biostimulatory, containing calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. These spheres create a volumizing effect while simultaneously stimulating collagen production for long-term improvements sometimes lasting years.

Is there a recovery period?
You only need to avoid intense workouts for a couple of days to allow the filler to settle. There could be very mild swelling or bruising. Most patients head back to their daily routines right after their appointments!
